ROCK’s Boots in the Dirt Club allows those who can’t volunteer in person to support our Volunteer Department by funding training, materials, and personnel. These sponsors help ensure that our volunteers, also known as, ROCKateers, have everything they need to keep ROCK running smoothly and to provide Healing Thru Horses. Your monthly gift via credit card provides reliable support, enabling our ROCKateers to continue their amazing work with the proper training, tools, and gratitude.
Your gift can greatly impact our “ROCKateer” Department in several meaningful ways:
According to the Independent Sector and the Do Good Institute, as of April 2024, the national value of a volunteer hour is estimated at $33.49, a 5.3% increase from 2022. These volunteers’ roles are vital to our program’s success. Without them, ROCK would be unable to bear the cost of employing ENOUGH staff to carry out all of the lessons.
$10- Can help support the Equine Assistance Team.
Dedicated ROCKateers work on a regular basis mucking stalls, washing troughs, cleaning the feed room, and other tasks to ensure a clean and healthy living environment for our horses.
$25 – Can provide support to the Participant Support Team.
Horse Handlers and Side Walkers undergo extensive training to learn how to support our participants in a safe manner. These ROCKateers attend training classes from 5 to 20 hours to become qualified to work with our horses, providing support to our participants.
$50 – Can cover cost to help support the Equine Support Team.
Our horses love to be loved and love to look their best. Our Equine Support Team provides grooming and bathing so they can maintain a clean and neat appearance. These ROCKateers also spend time providing love and general exercise for our horses.
$100 – Can help support our Facilities Support Team.
Our dedicated ROCKaters maintain our sixty acres for the safety of our horses, staff, and volunteers. They repair fences, paint buildings, and handle minor facility repairs.
