Ann is a 30+ year resident of Georgetown and initially heard about ROCK through her friendship with Nancy Krenek, our Founder and CEO.
She stays quite busy serving ROCK as a Welcome Wrangler and as part of the Silent Auction Committee for our Barn Dance.
Ann is also a proponent of ROCK’s Horseshoe Club, sponsoring Lucy, one of the horses in our wonderful herd.
Something that has been surprising and inspiring to Ann is witnessing the improvement, and often recovery, of the men and women in the Veterans program through their bond with a horse and equine therapy.
One of her favorite parts of volunteering is seeing and being part of all the ‘behind the scenes’ work that goes into the day-to-day operations of ROCK. Ann says that the volunteers and staff are passionate about their respective roles.
Outside of her duties at ROCK, she and her husband love to travel, both nationally and internationally. She also enjoys reading and walking; keeping fit is a priority. She has three children (two boys, one girl) and four grandchildren ranging in age from five to fourteen. She is Gigi to some, and Mimi to others.
Ann is a retired military spouse of forty-six years and because of that, she has lived many places. Through the many years and places, she volunteered with the PTA, military soldier’s wives, and several non-profits.
We are happy that Ann landed at ROCK!
