This year, beginning February 17, we welcomed the Year of the Fire Horse — a rare pairing that hasn’t occurred since 1966. The Fire Horse is said to usher in powerful change and meaningful breakthroughs, and it is associated with traits like heart, courage, energy, trust, determination, freedom, leadership, resilience, spirit, gratitude, strength, and legacy.
At ROCK, we couldn’t imagine a better way to celebrate this inspiring year than by honoring 12 of our horses — one each month — highlighting the unique trait each so beautifully embodies.
In the month of May, we are proud to recognize the true embodiment of courage: Ciroc.
Ciroc is a handsome Thoroughbred who previously had a career on the racetrack before he found his home at ROCK. Transitioning into Equine Assisted Services meant adjusting to a much different pace, but he always had amazing trust with whoever was riding him. This served as a wonderful base to becoming a dependable horse here at ROCK!
During his time at ROCK, Ciroc has truly acclimated to his new life very well, including handling stressful situations in class calmly and proving he is a horse you can put your trust in. It is so impressive that at such a young age, 8, he is so dependable. He is always eager to please!
Ciroc teaches us that change may be scary, but it is also a chance to grow. Life isn’t meant to stand still—we are constantly changing and growing, and it’s up to us to make the most of that journey.
