Uniquely You Central Texas: A New Magazine to Uplift the Special Needs Community
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS —
Uniquely You Central Texas, a new monthly magazine designed to uplift the special needs community and connect families to essential local resources, is launching in the spring of 2025.
Created by Laura Capes Terry, publisher of BeLocal Georgetown, this magazine will share personal and inspiring stories of individuals with intellectual, developmental, and functional disabilities while connecting special needs families to life-giving local resources throughout Central Texas.
“Uniquely You will be part storyteller and part resource guide,” says Terry. “It was inspired by the extraordinary people I’ve met at Brookwood in Georgetown and the Rock Ride on Center for Kids.”
“Our families have been asking for a resource like this for over 10 years,” says Nancy O’Meara Krenek, Founder and CEO of the ROCK Ride on Center for Kids. “It will become the bible for special needs families across Central Texas, and we need support from our community to bring this resource to life for the families we serve.”
