ROCK’s STAR Instructor Program is taking applications for the 2017-2018 class.
This is a course to prepare individuals to take the PATH Intl instructor certification. While the course will be teaching many of the skills to prepare for the certification, it will not be offering riding lessons; those will need to be done at another stable if needed. Tentatively, the course will be about 13 weeks of meeting twice a week in the classroom for instruction in the fall.
Then in the spring, each participant will earn their 25 hours of student teaching. Based on our class schedule, most participants will get 1 to 3 hours of student teaching per week during this time. We are estimating that this will take most individuals 9 months to a year to complete. The course will start in September, 2017, and the course price is $1500.
We will be conducting hourly interviews and riding tests on Saturday, June 10th and Saturday, June 24th. Time commitments and expectations will be discussed in the interview. The riding test is the same riding pattern used by PATH Intl. for the Instructor Certification, and we will be using ROCK horses for the riding pattern.
