August Featured ROCKateer: Colton Farrow

Colton started with ROCK in March of 2023. He lives near ROCK, driving by it all the time. When he found out what it was, Colton ended up volunteering.

Colton helps with anything that ROCK needs and if he doesn’t know how, he loves to learn! Currently in pit crew training, Colton has just finished up horse handling to go along with his arena assistance and sidewalking duties.

He has also helped as a group lead for summer camp. Surprised, Colton says, “I didn’t expect how much it would mean to me getting to come here all the time. It’s really helped me with trying to be more outgoing, and getting to see the different rider’s progress at all levels is really rewarding.”

There are many aspects of ROCK that are Colton’s favorite things. He loves the horses and the equipment and the community, but getting to know the riders, watching them improve, and especially seeing the family’s reactions to that progress will always be his favorite.

Outside of ROCK, Colton likes going out for walks when it’s not hot outside. Otherwise, he likes having down time to do things on his own, like drawing, baking, listening to and playing music. Plus, he likes movies and comics.

ROCK appreciates Colton’s time (156 hours to be exact) and that he is always happy to help out wherever he can. We are so grateful for your hard work!
